What a thing to wake up to this morning! Idina fell through the stage last night during her melting scene and now might not even be able to do her last show today. I'll be praying for her, I'm sure she didn't want to end her run in the show this way. If her ribs are possibly broken though I don't see how she could sing :( I hope she gets better soon. I pasted the whole story from www.broadway.com below.

Idina Menzel
Wicked Tony Award winner Idina Menzel fell and hit her side at the January 8 matinee of the hit musical, during the iconic scene in which the Wicked Witch of the West melts. The audience was filled with fans excited to see one of the popular favorite's final performances, as Menzel was scheduled to leave Wicked on January 9 to start work on the film version of Rent. She is now not expected back for what was to be her final performance.
"There was not a floor [beneath the stage] where she expected there to be one," a production spokesperson explained to Broadway.com. "So she fell two to three feet and hit her side." Menzel went to an area hospital where she was examined by doctors to determine whether her ribs were just bruised or if fractuing occured. No official statement has been made about the diagnosis.
After Menzel's fall, an announcement about the situation was made to the audience, the performance was stopped for a short time before standby Shoshanna Bean (who is slated to assume the role of Elphaba on January 11) took over for the final minutes of the show. Leading man Joey McIntyre further explained the situation to the audience during the curtain call.
Bean played Elphaba during the January 8 evening performance. While the production has not yet officially announced whether Menzel will return, according to Bean's own posting on her official website, she will also play the role at the January 9 matinee.
