hmmmm so my prof says she works at home on Mondays, hence I can't meet with her to discuss missing the workshop. I'm guessing this might make monday a sleeping in day becaust it's 11am and I haven't got a reply to my email yet.... I'm expecting to get one that tells me to take the later bus and pay more money because clearly her draft workshop is more valuable than my computer, or mental health. Le sigh.

I'm getting very sick of the educational system, and must remember this when I'm not in full time school anymore. My University classroom experiance hasn't taught me much. My marks are all pretty much the same, I don't feel that I've evolved as a writer. Any evolution in the way I think has been because of my friends not because I'm learning so much in class. I spend more time teaching myself than I do being taught. I also benifit most from the time I spend away from here. LU is not the right place for me at all anymore. I like 1 prof really... in that I enjoy her class and her advice outside of class. Everyone else really only falls on one side or the other of those two things... or more likely NEITHER. I value the friends that I've made here but I also know that my few really good friendships are lasting ones so leaving this school wont hurt them. I just want to start living an actual life and stop living according to how everyone else seems to think we should live. Can one ever really do that? probably not, the world is not a fair place.

Hmmm and now the LU email seems to be down.... am I surprised? nope. Actually their language makes it look like it's your fault "your login is not current" ummm no shit because your system wont load the next page so this one expires.... they need a lable that says "our site is built by hacks, please try again later" and MSN keeps signing me out. Their system is super broken and they just blame it on students. NONONO we do not design the system. Yes people download movies and it eats your bandwidth.... so charge money for the internet and buy more bandwidth. Or tell everyone what you tell a few people who have come to you with bandwidth problems. Uploading is the bigger problem so don't share your files. EASY solution. But they don't inform us of problems. Or this virus outbreak that they told Viv is all over campus. Have they even sent out an email to let people know the symptoms of this particular virus and what to do to fix it. No, because that would make sense as a preventative measure and they wouldn't want that..... why I don't know.

Yeah, I don't like being talked to as if I was a child still. She actually asked me if my parents couldn't just pay for my computer to be fixed here instead of paying for me to go home. Umm I am paying for both of these things on my own... not good to assume it the other way.
