Well, while I wait and wait and wait and wait and wait for the Veronica Mars torrent to be posted I'll write my mini review of tonight's episode. There will be huge spoilers, don't read if you don't want to know. And Viv, you don't read it even though you do want to know, I'll mail you the ep asap.

What this show does in just one hour amazes me. Not in the way that the O.C. amazes me with it's ability to thin out huge plot lines and fit six story arcs into a single episode but rather in the way that they manage to give you a solid plot with a ton of character development and backstory. Quality people. This is my new Buffy (which my brother learned by knocking on my door five minutes into the show)
Logan killing Felix? Now I'm going to say that no he didn't. For the main reason that he was super drunk and then jumped by six guys. I don't think he'd have had the co-ordination needed to stab someone to death. I think we'll find out it was a huge set up to spark off economic tensions between the haves and the have nots in Neptune.
Veronica dating Logan all summer is very sweet. I love them together, so of course I was spun by the "your boyfriend is here" moment and having her go and kiss Duncan. The fuck? First of all I'm not very interested in his character. He's like the Riley of the show. Okay not that bad, but he's still just there for me, I hope they do more with his character soon so I can enjoy he and Veronica dating.
I liked during the V/L breakup scene we have Keith run in and defend Veronica. Two thumbs up for that daddy. I also think that Veronica was right, Logan was having fun picking on the poor kids. I think he has reasons for it though, not that he was just reverting to being an ass. But he's been through way too much in too short of a time span and he fell back on old safe routines.
Logan sleeping with Charaisma's character. It was a WTF moment, did lend a new spin on the question "Can Dick and Beaver come out and play" *dirty* But I kinda understand it, it's more of that self destructive thing that he's going to have going on for a while I think. Side note, must she sleep with all of the young ones on her tv shows now? Seriously, Connor now a highschool sr. (who I don't believe is 18 yet because no inheritance going on) Also shoutout to Charisma being a Laker Girl lol
The school bus crash. Biggest surprise. Also I think it might have been some 09ers. Let's note that Dick make that comment about the bus smelling. And I'm sure it smelled but I think that maybe there was more to it than that. And since everyone but Meg (who the 09ers seem to be mad at) got a limo ride back something was definitely up there. Goodbye new Journalism teacher. That was short while it lasted. That's the third one so far, 3 in two years even beats out Harry Potter's Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher spot. I want to rewatch to see who else was left on the bus.
I LOVED the touch of having Lilly appear to keep Veronica from getting back on the bus. Definitely shows that there was something wrong it wasn't just an accidental crash. Also it was nice to see that her character wont be gone completely this season.
Wallace clearly still rocks. Oh him and his spirit boxes, the kid can't get enough of his snickerdoodles ;)
I'm glad that Keith is still dating Wallace's mom.
I love the Keith and Veronica talk about the first day of school "I beat up a freshman and stole his lunch money then cut the afternoon""no underaged sex?" "oh yeah, but you'll really like all those guys" (you probably need to see the delivery of lines like these but they make this show great)
I was really glad that even though Weevil was mad with Veronica he still came through and gave her a ride, he didn't want to leave her stranded at the gas station. I adore his character. More Wallace and Weevil this season. And Mac. But no ghosty irrational Meg. Oh I forgot to mention her irrationality. Hello. You let Duncan dump you? After his behaviour in A Trip To The Dentist she should have dumped his ass since he was still clearly hung up on his ex. Also Meg looked a LOT like Veronica did when Duncan first dated her, which was a warning sign to say she was just a replacement. Veronica 2.0 if you will. But if she stuck with him until he dumped her then that's her problem. No need to take it out on the person who saved your ass last year. I just hope it doesn't lead to a whole Veronica guilt thing over not making things right because she tried and Meg made no effort to get her back on the bus just to be bitchy and leave her stranded. So if you try to get someone stuck in the middle of nowhere then you deserve what you get. Whereas Weevil had more reason to be angry with Veronica and he was a decent human being about it. Saint Blondie will need a new nickname on TWoP.... well for a few minutes ;)
So for now my call on what the big mystery is, a showdown between the rich and the poor. Lots of escaltating violence. I love conspiracies and I think this season will have a great one.
**EDIT** it just occured to me that Logan said something about missing Veronica before she went on the field trip... that does not bode well for him. ... WANT TORRENT NOW!
I'm so high on Veronica Mars right now it's insane. I also am really glad that TWoP recaps it because they have the best recaps and they always remind me of things I want to discuss.
