I have a fun (well I think it's fun) idea for how the Veronica Mars series should end this year. And I started writing it today, and haven't stopped. I may have to force myself to pause for some dinner soon. I'm going to go back to the noir roots and see what I can put together. Hopefully it turns out good. So stay tuned for that. I'll start posting chapters as soon as I have the story near to completion so that I know it will get finished and not be some multi parted never ending story. I don't want to leave people hanging. But I have the ending bouncing around in my mind, I just have to get there first :)

In other news it appears that once I start writing I can't stop. Honestly, from one little Firefly drabble I suddenly want to write again all of the time. Clearly I missed writing.

ooh, can't wait to see what you come up with :) I'm not going to avoid the last episodes, but I'm sure I'll need something to replace canon in my mind!

I'm figuring that I'll just read the TWoP recaps of the last episodes so I'll know the canon but I've come up with my own idea of how things should be. I ran through the bare bones of it tonight with my roommate and she's approved of my story so I think I can get something good going from this one. It's already longer than any fanfic I've ever written and I've not yet gotten to the really fun stuff :) I'm going to *try* to start being able to post by the end of the long weekend, I just want to be sure that I get at least 3/4 of the story done before I post the first part. Can't leave people hanging for too long!

Yay for writing. :)

Non-related -- my Buffy #1 issue came in the mail for me today. :) Whee!

*yay* for the Buffy comic, have you read it yet, what do you think?

I'm very much enjoying the slice of story we've been given. Issue 2 comes out in stores tomorrow... I'm not sure how insane it will be to find a copy. Hopefully less crazy than it was with the first issue.

I haven't read it yet -- it's still in the protective plastic covering. :) I think I read somewhere (TFAW, probably) some instructions for how to properly handle these comic things, etc. so now I'm all paranoid. Lol. Never had a comic before. :)

LOL well if you're collecting it in the hopes it's worth money later then yeah be careful not to crack the spine and have really clean hands when handling it. However as they printed how many issues of this? The odds of the value going up a huge degree is less, read it and enjoy it :)

Ooh, that sounds good. VM fic I might actually be interested in reading again :)

[identity profile] elizalavelle.livejournal.com 2007-04-04 10:33 am (UTC)(link)
:) there's good VM fic out there for sure and I'm suspecting that as the season draws to a close I will not be alone in writing a new finale LOL but I'm glad you'll be reading :)

Oh, I have no doubt there's some good stuff out there, it's just I don't have a desire to read any VM fic at the moment, which is making me sad.

fiction writing rules!

There's almost no better feeling than having your story take off on you.
