LMAO, I must pause in my online tv watching to comment on this. I'm watching last week's Degrassi ep and there is a university fair and a couple of the kids are stoned. This lady comes up behind them to ask if they've thought of Sudbury as a potential post secondary school (I guess no university would give the rights to use their name) and the two high girls just laugh.

Children who are watching there is a lesson here, the stoned girls are clearly right ;)

What does that say about who Laurentian is trying to recruit?! Stoners are the only chance they have cos they're too baked to make good decisions...

I remember being recruited at that fair by LU. I was talking to a friend about my top 6 OACs and some lady interupts and was like, "Laurentian only looks at your top 5!" Way to go... Recruit dumbasses and stoners. LOL

This is why I don't understand why they treat their students like garbage once they get there. Clearly some people don't see it but the ones who do (who are probably statistically the smarter ones) are the ones they'd probably want to keep around. They're desperate for enrollement but they don't try to improve themselves. FIX THE DAMN PROBLEM. Gah it's the attitude. Well if we can't get good students then we'll just take whoever we can get instead of trying to figure out how we can improve in order to attract better students who want a better grade of programs.

lol I went to LU for four years, I think they could do a LOT to improve themselves but they don't. Eventually that place is going to fall into disrepair. However there are a few great profs there but it's mostly the administration that frustrated me.

That.Is.Awesome. and oh so true. UofS taught us well. I went back to visit again last week...all i did was step in the doors and it smelled like pot. An instant high. Oh Sudbury...how i love thee (insert rolling eyes emoticon)

lol I sort of miss residence life just for the absence of boredom.... then I remember why I don't want to be there anymore lol. I may have to write the Degrassi writers a fan letter. For serious, please warn kids away from Sudbury lol.
