I uploaded a bunch of my old sketches to facebook. Most of them were based on Buffy episode and by most I mean all but one of this set. I'm jealous -- I've always wanted to be able to draw, but all I can do is write. I suppose, deep down, I've harbored a desire to do my own graphic novels someday!

Well I was always told I wasn't good at drawing (my Mom and Brother are really talented) but I gave up trying to be good and just did it for fun. Writing a graphic novel would be so cool! There are a lot of writers who have an illustrater for thier work so you could still do that :)

Maybe I'll turn my first best seller into a graphic novel, once I'm rich enough to control the process. Might take a few years ...

Maybe your drawing improved after you gave up trying too hard? Or, maybe your critics didn't know what they were talking about.

They're quite nice (and I really enjoy being able to recognize people/scenes), but why doesn't anyone have a face?

I can't draw faces that look like the people they're supposed to look like. So I just leave them out and try to get the feeling across without.
