2 more nanny days left...then on to cat sitting :)

OMG I'm sickened by my family I'm nannying for now. The kids are okay. I think they will be messed up and in need of some serious councilling but they're okay. The mother however, ugh!!!!!!!!! She got money from their father on tuesday to buy food. Came home with some veggie sticks, water, milk and a few other things, not a lot of groceries but it's not my buisness right? Well then yesterday she had him come by again to get money and I could hear them fighting cuz he said he's paid his child ssupport (1200 a month) and she keeps saying it's not enough, and I guess the way she spends it it isn't. All the kids had was tap water to drink on Wed. So dad gives her the 50$ and she buys 1 small block of cheese, 3 croissents, 1/2 a watermelon and a 4L bottle of water. Then goes out and buys herself new lingere... What the fuck?! Now I'm reschedualed to work for her tonight, so I guess she has a hot date. It just bugs me so much to see this happen. I could care less if their father is getting ripped off but it shouldn't be at the kids expense. I hate seeing kids get the short end of the stick like this.

Anyways it's still way hot here, my brother woke me up after I managed to get to sleep this afternoon. I could hardly sleep all last night, too hot and this kid (well almost 18 not a kid, and definatly old enough to know better) stomps up the stairs and wakes me up cuz he didn't feel the need to look for the sunscreen which was sitting on the counter in the downstairs bathroom, and has been there for at least a week, in the bathroom he always uses... grrr I'm tired and crabby and hot and it's just no good, I think I'm going to try to nap at babysitting once the kids are in bed....

cancelled work

Hmmmm my nanny job cancelled on me today. Actually she called about 2 minutes before I walked out the door so that's lucky. I'm out some cash but I was so so so tired so I think it's okay. I'm working tomorrow night instead, apparently one of the kids is missing me which is sweet to hear.

OMG I hurt my arms so bad yesterday at work. I was playing hide and go tag in this park in Rosedale and we were at the tag part and I went to slide down this thing which is like a slide without the slide in it, kinda like parallel bars but slanted like a slide. Anyways I went to slide down it on my hands like I've done so many times and it was so hot and I stuck and fell through. It sounds so much more funny than it is. My arms made a crunching sound, which I don't think can be good. Now they're all stiff and I have this huge bruise on the inside of one arm... Casualties of working with kids and being active with them I guess. I also think it could have been much worse than it ended up so it's all good.

I'm going to bed a little later than usual tonight so I can practice staying awake for work tomorrow. It's so odd to be working during the day (especially early morning) for me! I'm spoiled and like to sleep in. *Sigh* welcome me to the grown-up world.

I have to clean up my markers now...no really I do :)

random fact

okay so I'm watching Pop Up Video and it's a Madonna episode and I read that her Vid Justify My Love was only played on MTV after midnight, and even then only aired 3 times. This was because MTV thought it was innapropriate for her teenaged fans. I knew it was banned before but I just was thinking about it. Britney Spears and all the other teen singers do much worse in their videos these days. Britney bugs me in particular because of her "I'm a cute innocent good girl...but I'll be slutty cuz it sells records" act. I'm not surprised by it at all but I always feel icky when the girls who I nanny for want to be just like her at 9 years old. Anyways I really think her recent vids are just as bad for teenage, or preteen viewers.

there's my rant, now to bed for me! I'll save my rant on skinnyness in the acting world for later, lol it's brewing for a while :)
