So, did anyone else know that new comic book day is delayed by the holidays by 1 day? I met up with Justin last night and we thought we'd kill two birds with one stone and meet up at the Silver Snail. *yay* new Buffy comic. Except it comes out today, not yesterday. I'll have to pick up my copy on Saturday. However, all was not lost as I still found a Conundrum mini figure who is now residing on my computer moniter along with Jack Sparrow.

We went for dinner at Dunn's Famous Deli which is the place that closed super early when we had a Browncoat dinner there. But I was sure I remembered them saying that when the theatres were open down there they stayed open later. As both theatres were running shows last night I figured it would be okay... yeah, totally not so much at all. They closed early again.

The evening was finished up with a trip through Chapters where I found a lovely hardback book for $4.99 and found that I had money left on my Chapters Giftcard, win for the day :) And I got to ride home in a SmartCar. I've never been in one before, fun :)

Dresden Dolls concert tonight :)

Busy busy weekend!

Friday night I was over at my parents' house sorting through all of my boxes of books trying to find anything that was related to witches/wizards/magic. That's our decorating theme for my department at work. My brother thinks we should win based on the amount of books I was able to find. The only way I could have possibly had more stuff would be if we'd done Vampires, I have enough BtVS/Angel stuff to do a lot of decorating.

Saturday I was at the wedding of two of my friends :) I just went to the ceremony so much of my day was spent in transit from one place to another and back again. The GO trains were running funny and I had to transfer to a bus part of the way there but I did make it and that was the important part :) The walk down the aisle was done to one of my most favourite versions of Over the Rainbow! Very sweet :) This is my third wedding in as many months so from here on out if I know you please don't get married for a while, my bank account nee

Then Saturday night I was over at a friends' house. I was there before her and let myself in and was reading Smoke and Mirrors by Tanya Huff while I waited... that is SO not the book I should have been reading by myself in an empty house!

Sunday [livejournal.com profile] willow_kat was passing through TO on her way home so we went and did a little book and DVD shopping. Vortex had the full series of Xfiles in the full sized boxes not the slim sets which is exactly what I've been collecting... I needed 4 more to finish my collection so I was bad and bought the last 4 I needed. Totally pricey for the day BUT really the four of them came to what 1 season used to cost when they first were released AND the owner threw in a copy of Unholy (Nicholas Brendons' movie) for free. Not a bad deal at all. Now I have a full Xfiles set :) This is excellent timing because the Xfiles rewatch community has just started to cycle through and now I can keep up through all of the seasons :)

We also stopped by Toys R Us and got cute little Jack Sparrow play sets. I have to set mine up on my computer at work I think. They have some cool things there for Christmas! They have this moon light that you set up on your wall and by remote control you can control it to show the different phases of the moon, very pretty!

Another busy weekend has flown by!

On Friday I bought my US money for my vacation. I'm wonderfully broke now but I'll appreciate being able to shop when I'm there :) Then I saw my parents off as they left for England for 2 weeks (lucky them!) and then went home to work on finishing up my tshirt screening designs.

Saturday I sent my ideas off to Mel so she could tell me how crazy I was trying to do the things I've chosen to do. Actually only one of them so far isn't working well so that's not bad... especially considering that I've somehow rotted my brain so much that I managed to screw up counting to 4 and designed 5 shirts. I honestly didn't even realize I'd done it until Tom and Jo pointed out I'd gone over the maximum. Oops. I may end up saving one to do next tshirt shindig lol. We'll see how timing goes.

Our internet also died completely again on Saturday and we've now FINALLY got a technician coming over next Friday (for free at least) to see what can be done. We did manage to get 2 of our computers back online, Jo and I are still out of luck :(

Saturday Tom also came by and brought Muppets DVDs so we could introduce Jo to the Muppets. We watched the episodes with Bernadette Peters and Julie Andrews! Fun!

Sunday I bought tshirts for the screening and found Xfiles figures from the movie, still in their original packaging, at Value Village. I restrained myself and just bought a Mulder and a Scully in their FBI suits I left Artic Gear Mulder and Scully and the alien ones behind. I also got a computer mouse since mine was having trouble tracking and it was getting really not fun trying to make icons and such with a mouse that didn't stay where you wanted it.

Today I have to fix one of my tshirt designs before Mel bans me from her house ;) and I need to start burning CDs for my bus trip which is so soon!!!!

Well, I've been having fun looking up 90210 stuff on youtube.com. I'm going to have to buy those dvds eventually. Hello Ebay :) I cannot believe that the studio didn't get them out faster. They're losing so much money by not buying the rights to the songs that they need. Also how addictive is youtube once you get going on that site. I've been watching fun clips like woah.

Sarah Slean has added another show this summer, July 19th in Huntsville. It's a Wednesday and out of town so that's totally out of the question for me. I'm still hoping that we get a random TO show this summer as well :)

It's the Serenity charity screening in TO this Saturday! (www.canadianbrowncoats.com) I can't wait to see it on the big screen again! I have no brown coat... but perhaps I'll go for my brown sweater or something, must be in theme somewhat.

I think that's it for tonight, I'm off to freak myself out with some Xfiles and then go to sleep. Although last night was the ep Paper Hearts and I think that was a two parter that was more sweet than scary...

Quiz nabbed from [livejournal.com profile] fickledame

You Are Midnight

You are more than a little eccentric, and you're apt to keep very unusual habits.
Whether you're a nightowl, living in a commune, or taking a vow of silence - you like to experiment with your lifestyle.
Expressing your individuality is important to you, and you often lie awake in bed thinking about the world and your place in it.
You enjoy staying home, but that doesn't mean you're a hermit. You also appreciate quality time with family and close friends.

Hee the Xfiles episode Wetwired is on tonight, I love this one.

Tomorrow is friday, I am so ready for the weekend! Nomi gets here friday night and then Saturday we'll be apartment hunting like woah. Think nice apartment thoughts for us :D I hope we can find something nice. I want a pretty place to live

For now I'm totally wiped, time for some good sleeping :)

You scored as FBI's X-Files Division (The X-Files). You are part of a super secret section of the FBI. You also have the very cool status of â??Special Agentâ??. You believe in many conspiracies and know the government is covering up way too much. Now if only you could the Cigarette Smoking Man to stop providing you with the second-hand smoke.

why yes I am a geek, why do you ask? Actually I'm only a fan of the first two shows, I don't believe I've seen the rest... excepting the Matrix, I did see that.

I just finished reading TWoP's review of the Xfiles Movie. Oh awesome. My song is a shout out to the Xfiles, first fan vid I ever saw! That show had it's genius moments and I will own all of the dvds one day even for the crappy Mulderless seasons. All to try to understand what the hell was going on those last few years!

My brother is buying my new harddrive tomorrow. He had to open up my computer today to check out the format or something and OMG is it ever dusty in there. Compressed air is a must. Also I can't be anywhere near him when he installs the thing. I freak out about people touching my computer. Seriously I'll need to be in a waiting room taking shots or something lol.

The Liberal party called me today :( My dad told me next time to just promise my support cuz now they're going to keep calling and sending me crap. Hello politicians, stop calling me. Seriously, I don't care. Choosing between the Liberals and the Conservatives is just a choice between two evils. I don't like either of you and won't vote stratigically, thanks.

It seems Sarah Slean found a place way out by where she stayed in the caban that had either illustrations, or whole books with awesome illustrations from some of my favourite kids books. Oh I want to go there and see what's left but Neal says it's very far and probably not so busable. I need to find a place like that here. W.W. Denslow artwork, my inner book collector is having a swooning moment. (this new info came from the press release for the art show, don't get too excited now, I found it online, www.louiseupperton.com at the bottom of the page, it takes a while to load but it's a great release. I'm so excited to see this artwork now!)
