It's so so hot here. I actually slept last night, but I think that had to do with the fact I was pretty much dead on my feet all day.... at least it's friday so I don't have to worry about waking up tomorrow.

Ugh so so so hot! I got to go swimming today though which was great, I think I managed to get about a gazillion more freckles today though but meh! It can't be helped, they'll fade in the winter.

I'm thinking of going back to school shopping tomorrow, fun fun fun, maybe a "scary mary" shirt ;)

Not really a journal entry but I posted this question to a Buffy mailing list I'm on and I thought I'd send it out to the livejournalverse too. Why not :)

I have a random question about some season 5 finale spoilers that I just read. What happened was I picked up a second hand copy of SFX from I think March of last year which had the spoilers for the Buffy and Angel finales. I never read spoilers ahead of time so they were all new to me and I wanted to know why these are so off from what actually happened on the show. From what I've seen of the SFX spoilers usually they're dead on or at least really really close, these were just really odd!
I'm just going to transcribe the whole thing, sorry for the length

okay so on Angel
Disharmony: It is harmony who informs angel that joyce has died (spike's ex has now moved to LA), who has just moved to LA. Unaware of this, willow and xander have travelled to the city to tell him themselves, bu fail to find him becaues he's changed address. they find themselves in Caritas, where they have a singsong and hear from the host that xander has a destinly to protect mankind (my thoughts here...sound like this years finale to anyone?) however angel has a chat to the host after xander and willow have gone (without seeing him) the host tells angel about a "boy with a grim future" It doesn't sound good for xander.

Dead End: this spoiler was pretty much dead on so I'm leaving it out.

Belonging: angel and lindsay become friends- as strange as that may sound- which doesn't exactly thrill the rest of angel investigations. cordelia and gunn however have other things on their minds as they go out on their first date. one of gunns old friends
needs help forcing him to choose between his new colleagues and the old ones.

Over the Rainbow: With lindsey wavering in his loyalty to wilfram and hart, lilah arranges for his sister [laura] to be attacked by a demon as a warning to him, but soon discovers that she has supernatural powers that enable her to "see inside people." she tells angel that he has to go to sunnydale. lindsey is promoted but discovers the plot to teach him a lesson. he tries to save laura from becoming a wolfram and hart weapon but fails. meanwhile, angel's decided to head to sunnydale, taking kate with him. along the way tehy pick up lindsey, faith (released from prison) and oz. cordelia, gunn and wesley who didn't agree with angel's decision to leave LA go to caritas where the host informs them that they whould be with him[angel]

Through the looking glass (episode 21)
Cordelia gunn and wesley try to catch up with angel and kate, finally joining them just before they reach sunnydale. after picking up a hitchhiker on teh way - whose identity wont be revealed until the next episode- they meet up with the scooby gang and find they have a lot to talk about.

The 22nd ep of angel was, i guess collaborated would be the word, with buffy to make a 2 hour finale crossover extravaganza!.... anyone feeling like we maybe missed out a bit yet?

Buffy
Forever: this one was pretty much right excepting it doesn't mention dawns spell and this part "anya, meanwhile is offered her powers back--but what does that mean for her relationship with xander"

Intervention: Angel pays sunnydale a visit after hearing about joyce's death, knowing that buffy will need some support, which she does. Spike however, needs buffy's help after the buffy robot he constructed goes haywire and tries to kill him. at the beginning of an ongoing storyline, buffy's dad comes to sunnydale with his new friend sophie (babylon 5's melissa gilbert), and glory looks for a new minion after ben dissapears...be prepared for a shock ending folks.

Tough love: Hank summers, unsurprising, wants custody of Dawn. Giles decides he wants her too. Cue: a custody battle. Glory has finally figured out that Dawn is the key and has her kidnapped. Her accomplice? Xander who is now posessed by the evil god and forced to help her. Willow casts a spell to unposess him but tara messes up , leaving anya to try and save the day.

Spiral: buffy tries to contact angel after things go from bad to worse--she's served with dawn's custody papers by her dad and it's looking harder and harder to defeat glory. on top of this, buffy gets a message from the initiatives' grahm, saying that riley is MIA...and possibly dead. it's not a good day for buffy. the audience discovers that glory and ben only exist in our dimension by using a "vessel", keeping up their strength by draining the life from others. Ben hasn't been feeding and has become very weak, meaning that glory needs to find him another vessel. Buffy's trip to LA to find her former lover is to no avail because , unknown to her , angel and co are on their way to sunnydale...

The Weight of the world: Giles wins his battle to become the legal guardian of dawn. xander and buffy, who's on the verge of a nervous breakdown, pay a visit to a certain karaoke bar and have their fortunes told, whilst back in sunnydale angel arrives to help defeat glroy. spike regains control of himself after his chip is deactivated by the iniatitive, immediatly returing to his old and nasty ways.

Centennial (Ep22)
To celebrate the 100th episode of buffy this will be a two hour spectacular featuring the entire cast of both shows. the sunnydale scoobies and angel's team from LA join forces to get rid of glory, resulting in three of the group meeting their destinies....whatever that may mean!

Okay so we saw almost none of that, what gives. Did they just get some really really bad tips about what was going to happen or did some actors decide they couldn't do the show at that time? I'm so confused...and also dying to know who the hitch-hiker who got picked up in Angel was...... grr arg! Does anyone know anything about this?
