May. 7th, 2004 11:02 pmJust had a lovely evening listening to Candide... although the sound in the second act got a little choppy online, at least I got to hear it. What a funny show, I wish I could have seen it live because there was a lot of visual humour so just hearing it didn't give the full effect. But it was great to hear.
Week one of work is done. I don't know if I can handle two jobs and my summer course and any shred of a social life... I may have to break that news to the parents tomorrow. I need to do well in this course over the summer (well I don't *need* to but I'd like to) and I don't have much time when I'm working full time days already. I hope they don't get too upset because I know that they (mostly my mother) wanted me working ALL the time. Oh well, it's my decision and I don't want to spend 4 months physically exausting myself.
One of the girls at work, Jen, likes theater, *yay* I've got her excited to see Wicked when it comes (I swear Mirvish should just hire me to do publicity for that show, although it's not hard to get people to want to see it really.) Anyways we were talking about shows and got onto Mamma Mia (because the boys from Mamma Mia come in every day for a smoothie before the show) and neither of us has seen it so I think we're going to find a day to go. Viv you still want to go too?
Randomly, the RENT bathroom in the concourse is still there, hasn't been repainted or anything lol. Quote of the day "Luthergasms" seeing that put me in such a giggle-y mood all day. Then we got free sandwiches from work because they wouldn't keep for the weekend, then (and I can't belive this wasn't the first thing I wrote) we got our highspeed internet hooked up, so now I have highspeed! Hence I could listen to Candide :) Good day.
Also, welcome home Lisa, I saw you online on MSN but it was the middle of the show so I wasn't chatting, hope you had a good trip and I'll ttyl
