Snow already :(
Nov. 5th, 2004 10:06 amI'm gonna take some time for the tv last night to sink in, reviews tonight :)
Yesterday in History class we didn't even discuss the election, aside from a few snide Bush comments, I think everyone was just too depressed. We'd talked about it on Tuesday before the election and everyone (at least everyone who was vocal) was pro Kerry, so I think everyone was just not in the mood to talk about having 4 more years of Bush. We did have a seminar though and this one girl who was speaking had a voice box thing that allowed her to whisper and her friend translated for her. It worked totally fine until the friend, who was a diabetic, passed out due to low blood sugar. She was totally fine, more embarrased than anything when she woke up. She had some juice and went to sit down. The girl who was sitting next to me though was freaking out, saying that we should have called an ambulance. *sigh* no. If someone is diabetic and they know it and they know exactly why they passed out and they're correcting the problem then they don't need to waste time in the hospital. Our ER here takes so long to get into anyways she would have sat there for hours waiting to be seen for fainting. I have my seminar next week, I don't think I can beat passing out for interest lol.
We have "random" room searches soon in res. I HATE roomsearches. I also have to find out if they'll check the rooms if no one's home. I HATE the idea of someone being in my apartment without Lisa or I being here. The signs that are posted said that there will be an advocate from the university coming along on the roomchecks BUT I don't find that this university does anything to protect their students so I'd like an advocate for myself to be present.
In other news, it snowed yeterday :( I can still see snow on the ground. How unimpressed am I?
First day of work today, I'll post more tonight, tv reviews coming soon ;)
