Dec. 18th, 2005 02:26 amBefore I write up the second night of the Slean shows I must post this. I'm not putting who's journal it came from because that wouldn't be fair but Slean fans can get a good laugh
****** and I went to the Sarah Slean show tonight and it was wonderful! Second row centre seats, and Sarah was awesome - engaging and delightful. What was not delightful was her fan club in the front row who actually threw notes to her on stage and participated in creepy Children of the Corn Sing-A-Longs. One of them talked to me. It was weird.
Sucks to be her is all I can say. She's since edited this post since one person confronted her about what she said. We guess she's a new fan since she was creeped out by the singing. We are actually better than random people at the show because we know exactly when we're supposed to sing lol. I hate going to shows where random people just start singing. But when Sarah puts her hand to her ear that's usually a song to belt something out lol. Also I'm totally the "One of them" who talked to her so LOL She was mentioning Idina Menzel and that's a rarity in itself so I turned around and asked her if she was indeed talking about Idina, then she said something about Wicked being good (which should have tipped me off there to her being one of those types of fans) and I told her about the OCR of SWIWS. (at least I think this is the same girl, from where she says she sat it would be her... )
And the "note" was actually the lyrics to Love For Sale which she missed lol But I can see where that would be confusing if you have no idea as to the backstory there. But her not knowing the words has been a running theme since Hamilton. But if you have no idea as to what's going on yeah it could look odd. Next time be like the Hamilton fans and just ask what happened because that way you might actually find out what was going on instead of extrapolating your own version of events.
At any rate, tomorrow I'll have the second half of my Sarah reviews posted and since she was SO happy with us last night it shall wash away the random comments of this random fan :)
