Nomi and I went to go see the U of T production of Reefer Madness last night and it was SO fun! The show on stage is terrific, and even has some extra numbers which weren't in the movie so that was bonus. The casting was great. Really really great. Nomi was reading over everyone's bio's and for everyone but one cast member this was their first major show, which made me that much more impressed. The only thing that I missed from the cast was them connecting with the audience. For the most part they were all doing that trick of looking about 1 foot over the heads of your audience which works for the most part but it's good to break that up with actually looking at people.

And I actually found that the girl playing Mary Sunshine vocally held up better than Kristin Bell did overall. I liked her "Lonely Pew" better than the movie version. However I far prefer the movie version of Mary Sunshine. I think in the end it's a tie between the movie and seeing the show live.

It's still playing until Sept. 30th so if you can get yourself in to town in time I say go for it! The show is well worth seeing :)

It's been a madly productive weekend :) I made oodles of chocolate fudge, tres yummy :) Of course Saturday was humid so it took FOREVER to get it beaten enough to set again which left me with a blister on my hand. An injury from baking, how girly is that? ;)

Today Nomi and I got grocery shopping done and then I bought WAY too many DVDs. Darn Vortex having pretty much every box set I wanted. Excluding the Angel DVDs but I found 2 seasons of those at BMV so now I'm only missing season 2 and 5. Does anyone know when the Slimsets are released for Angel? I want to be sure to have my DVD's bought before then.

Then after buying far too many DVDs and eating yummy Amato pizza we went to buy a fishy! I ended up getting 3 who are as of yet unnamed but I'm working on it. I got an Australian Rainbow fish one of these guys and two rainbow tetras who look like these guys because I couldn't make up my mind and I have a bigger fish tank now so when I saw the little fishies I felt bad for only taking one. He'd be so lonely.

I also fixed our toilet that broke this morning which was useful :)

And tomorrow it's back to the work week :) Time keeps flying by!

I ended up seeing the WaT premiere.... did anyone who watched it feel that they'd seen that exact plot line before... well at least the main parts of it? I kept feeling very deja vu ish about the whole thing.

As a premiere (hang on I'm actually saying something nice about the show, you may need to sit down) it was quite a solid ep. A real ensemble piece which was rare last year. I was impressed with the entire cast (although not so much with Roselyn Sanchez's outfit, skirt? pants? skort?)

So while I liked the episode I really really really feel the plot has been done before on something, maybe within the last 4-5 years because it was so familiar. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

**of course next week's episode looks like trash so I think they're doing much what they've done the past two seasons, premiere well and then slowly (or perhaps in this case, horribly quickly) die out.**
