elizalavelleOh lord how I hate this school... and town.
Town first because they stopped bus service tonight at 6:15pm which meant that I had to ask to leave work early in order to not be walking back to my home... an hour in minus thirty some weather did not sound like fun to me. So I felt like a total ass having to ask to be allowed to leave early after just getting a job there. Not cool at all. I'm glad that they're super understanding and let me go home.
THEN I get back to res and they've deactivated the key card locks... which means no one gets into the buliding. MSR does not have an entrance that isn't through another res and all the other residences are closed so even with key cards that should be working no one gets in the SSR or UC doors. SO after I walked around to every door I found that the one by the parking in the back is just open, the key card lock doesn't work but it's not locked either. Doesn't make me feel greatly safe but at least I could get in. THEN the actual doors to my apartment buliding are propped open, because their key card lock is shut down as well. That's just not cool at all. I don't fell that that is a safe thing to have. I don't care how safe LU security wants to say this campus is, it's not. They just suppress any rapes or harassment cases that happen because they're not good publicity for a school... yeah so I'm in an unlocked building all break... swell, at least our doors lock somewhat. I'd feel better if we had a deadbolt in this case because even I could break in through our doors if I were determined enough.... gah, this place, it just gets worse and worse.
In store news, last minute shoppers are funny. I don't like the ones who are really picky even when they only have an hour left of time to shop and they're shopping like it's October and they have months left to find the right gifts... also the ones who yell at you because you don't have the right sizes left... it's Chirstmas Eve, take what you can get, of course we're running low on stock other people, smarter people, shopped here a month ago and bought it all, deal with it or get out. LOL I'm a charming employee really.
I do like the shoppers who just want to by anything and get it over with, they're funny. Although I feel kinda bad for their wives/girlfriends because they're really getting the last minute things that no thought whatsoever has gone into... oh well, not my gifts.
Happy Christmas Eve everyone!!!!!!! I plan to sleep, watch Buffy: Amends as per my Christmas Eve yearly tradition and just relax until Sunday :)
