work is fun
Aug. 27th, 2002 06:28 amWell I think this will be a great last week of work.
My kid just finished tennis camp so she wants to play tennis all day long. I'm learning as fast as I can and so far I haven't broken any windows *knocks wood*.... She also has math tutoring so I get a little break in the afternoons.
I could not believe how curious these girls are. It was the one I was watching and 2 of her friends and they were asking all kinds of puberty and sex questions. They're 10 and I think they start health class this year so they're curious. I'm guessing it's better that they ask me because I remember those classes and you're always too embarrased to ask anything. So yesterday they learned that guys have puberty too, they didn't ask how though so I left it alone (I'm not saying anything that I'm not asked, don't wanna get in trouble from the parents) and they learned that breasts don't grow in one night (thank britney spears for putting that idea into their heads). Also they all wanted to know when it was old enough to have sex, how the hell do you answer that. I gave them the legal age but let them know that if you and another minor want to have sex that's okay. BUT just because you can doesn't mean you have to! I hope they're just like me in that they get these answers and file them away for much later in life. I learned all sorts of things from my babysitters.
Oh and I got to see Crossroads, again *shudder* I had to thank the mom for renting that one. OMG never ever ever again.
