Mar. 17th, 2004 01:56 amBefore class today Allan was shooting off his mouth. This guy just bugs me, he opens his mouth and I just cringe in advance. Actually, side story: Leigh and I used to just comment and cut him up everytime he talked in The Drama to 1642. He sat 2 rows behind us. Then we found out that the lady sitting about 6 rows in front of us could hear every word we said (guess we weren't too subtle, oops) which as this woman sat in the front row meant that our prof totally heard us too. Good thing she thought Allan was full of shit and was amused by us eh? Actually that makes the fact that she'd usually smile at Leigh and I during that time make more sense lol.
Anways Allan is this 40 something year old guy who pretty much thinks he's too smart to be in school and everyone should just listen to him (if he's ever a teacer he's so going to fuck up kids) including the profs. I don't care if you're right and they're wrong, you need to be a bit more diplomatic about expressing that rather than interrupting a lecture to start your own rant. Especially as most of his comments weren't even on topic they were just annoying and made to get attention (do people ever grow out of that stage?) Anyways today's topic was how he was getting treated like a criminal because of gun laws. He's mad because he's being told he needs to register his guns or he can face up to two years in jail. He hunts and feels that he shouldn't have to register his guns because he's not a common criminal and this law is just because of "those damn Jamacans shooting each other in the ghetto" I swear those were his words. Now I thought that gun laws were also because people of all races are shooting each other, not to mention the fact kids find and use their parents guns leading to accidental deaths. But no, he's being discriminated against and treated like a criminal and so refuses to register any of his guns, yes plural, cuz apparently you need many to hunt. This man with a gun, yeah that makes me feel safe. Someone did point out a case where a caucasion male shot 7 women I think but Allan feels that that wasn't anything to be worried about and that really it's just the "Jamacan's" who are causing him the inconvience of being legally required to register his firearms, even though he's not doing it anyway. I swear he needs to be just taken out into the world and thrown on the mercy of all those he condemns.
