Apr. 30th, 2004 11:32 amI have so much to update and so little time (grrr to dial up internet, highspeed is getting installed soon though)
I'm done exams now and am home in the Tdot, I'm so happy to be spending my summer in the city. I also got a job :) I didn't even have to do a real interview, I just showed up and was hired *yay* I'm still looking for another job to do in the evenings, it'll keep me very busy but at least I'll have money to pay for school, and more importantly NYC trips ;)
Before I left res I talked to Kristin's Dad about her eating disorder. She always maintained that her family was proud that she'd lost weight and that her dad was a nurse and he said she was healthy... which really was making myself and the other people on the floor worry about sending her home for four months to a home that supports her illness. However she lied, her dad knows she's sick, and has been taking her to counsellors but she refuses to go anymore. She has 2 friends who are just like her (same disease) who all support each other. This means that no matter how many people tell Kristin she looks like death she can just call up a friend and be told that she's healthy. I know that it's really frustrating for me so her family must just be going crazy that they can't fix this.
Okay I should get offline because my parents will be home any second and I'm not allowed online during buisness hours... ah the joys of living at home :S oh well free rent and food and phone and internet (when I can get on) are good perks :)
