(no subject)

Hee, came out of work today to see the hot dog cart across from the Royal Alex and remembered "Saskia ate the hot dog vender!" What a random RENT memory lol.

I'm watching American Idol right now, George Huff may possibly be the happiest man ever. He always makes me smile just watching him, I think he's emitting happy endorfins (which apparently travel through the tv lol.) I kinda wish that that John Stevens kid was still around to sing tonight because this is his genre, the fact he survived so long doing everything else is impressive (or shows that some people are tone deaf...) This compitition was not really made for a singer like him though...

I got an email from Tanya today from Banff. She hasn't found a job yet. She's having the same problem with experience that I have. She has lots but not in the right genre of work per say. For example I babysit TONS but one wouldn't think it would apply to retail work but it can. Dealing with kids and parents is a type of customer service and with kids you're cooking all the time so that helps you to just know how to cook, yes I'm learning how to make different stuff for my job now but having a base knowledge of things helps. Also babysitting leads to a LOT of cleaning and at the juice bar there's just a huge cycle of cleaning... so it applies but still babysitting does not look great on a resume... Anyways Tanya and Shannon (who she drove out with) haven't found a hotel that wants them both. Shannon has more hotel experience so it may turn out that she gets a front desk job and Tanya gets something less cushy... I hope she finds something soon because being in a strange city with no job must not be the most fun in the world.

Okay, off to relax, watch tv and sleep, oh how exciting my life is.
