Viv, reasons why I must make you watch Firefly, outside of it's brilliance... Melinda Clarke guest stars in the second to last episode. Random. But fabulous.

(also I've been watching the last two DVDs of the set tonight and am not stopping until I'm done... this is how good they are.)

Sooooooooo how bad is it that I just stayed up until 3am to finish watching the Firefly dvds? I still have a few of the special features to work through but other than that I'm done. And I'd like to hug all of the characters now please. Joss is a brilliant brilliant man and I think he did such a phenominal job with this one. We get all of the TV angst and all of that good stuff BUT also I didn't dislike any character. It's not like the characters are all good (because that would piss me off) rather it's that he wrote such real flawed people.

Brilliant.

I'll admit, the "cowboys in space" theme threw me when the show first came out. It just wasn't really my genre at all and I figured it was Fox trying to cash in on Joss's success and pushing out a show that hadn't been thought all of the way through yet... Clearly I was wrong. This is a show that was thought through from beginning to it's all too soon end.

Another movie please?

Veronica Mars tonight :) FINALLY! Although I don't know what UPN I get so I dunno if I get it tonight... oh well, I'll find out soon.

I have a job interview tomorrow :D Nothing long term but it would be so helpful right now. Cross your fingers for me :)

and since the contest on sarahslean.com ends tomorrow I figure I can say now that I'm going to the art show :) I asked my dad to try to get tickets and he managed to do it so I'm in. I really hope someone I know wins the contest otherwise it's me and the media lol and my parents decided that I should try to network for a job while I'm there. So not happening. It's the last Slean show for who knows how long unless I suddenly win a lottery and can travel to Paris LOL so I'm going to enjoy a night out, not ignore the music and network.
