I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this trilogy of books and have been so excited to see the movies. I wanted to see the play but while it was being put on in England I was a poor poor student and could not afford a trip to the UK.
The official movie site is here: http://www.goldencompassmovie.com/ and clearly I've just spent half an hour playing with the Alethiometer and so want one of my very own. I wonder if they'll be able to make these as promotional gadgets.
