lol from this rant: http://www.livejournal.com/community/iconrants/19511.html about people using characters of languages they don't understand in their icons I was led to this site: http://www.hanzismatter.com/ where the person has collected pictures of peoples tattoos that don't say what they want them to say lol I'm very amused that there was a pic of a guy in China who had an odd Enlish tattoo on him, too funny that it goes both ways!
I dunno, personally my tattoo preference is to get something that's important to me. I wouldn't want an asian symbol for a word on me because asian culture has not played a big enough influence in my life that I want it tattooed to me. If I wanted a word tattooed to me I'd do it in English, granted I'd choose a pretty font lol but I'd have it in a language I could understand... that way there are no mistakes.
I think my favourite tattoos are ones like what Nomi had done, where she designed it herself. That's pretty damn awesome. Ultimatly though I'm still too indecisive to get a tattoo, I always change my mind about what I want.
