You know what is frustrating... when on MSN you can see that someone is typing a message... and then they never send it. Or they type for a long time and then send a short message so you know they deleted what they were originally saying. It makes me so curious. What were you really going to say to me? Was it good, bad? what what what?

In other news I got a lovely Sarah Slean gift from Patty today too, so a LJ paid account and some Slean goodness, what a beautiful day.

Oh and most importantly I got to see Tanya who I don't think I've seen since last Christmas holidays! Tan I miss you tons and love that while my mother worshipped you when we were younger ("why can't you be more like Tanya") you have now turned out to be someone who I'd love to be more like (although I don't think my mother would be so enthused about that anymore lol.)

I can only speak for myself about that; it's usually that I started to say something, and the other person pops up while I'm typing with a remark or a quesion that requires a different (and usually much shorter) answer.

lol that happened because i was trying to draw you pictures with that brush writer thing in MSN that i had never seen before. then i was trying to make you a voice clip but forgot this comp has a different mic - ergo i was yelling into my speaker for some time with no product except a deeper dive into eccentricity on my part.

so with me its usually just that i'm fucking with something.
if i'm the guilty party... :s

Seriously - I hate that too! It's the weirdest feeling, like they couldn't tell you what they were really thinking or something - just ugh. But yay for presents and for seeing old friends. It's always a crap shoot for me when I see someone that I haven't seen in a while. It's either ridiculously easy, like we had talked the night before, or it's horribly awkward and I end up talking about myself too much to fill silences. Soooo... I'm glad that went well for you! :)

That's exactly what I wonder... it's like did you have something important to say? Then I feel like I'm missing something...

This old friend is one I've known since I was 8 years old, so we don't do too much of the awkward silence thing, we more talk and try to explain what we've done in the past year in the space of an afternoon lol.

I often wonder the same thing (about the MSN messages)....
Did you use a line from When ANother Midnight with a TV show icon?
