elizalavelleI have my interview today for the Students for Literacy program where I'd get to go help a kid read. They pair you up with someone who either has a learning disability or who just doesn't like reading and you read with that kid all year. I really hope that I do well at my interview but I think I should since I have lots of experience with kids and I love reading and I collect childrens literature myself.
Hmmmmm last night I was thinking of the Buffy episode "Living Conditions" with the roommate who really is from hell ya know? Cuz my roommate and I were talking and I was just thinking how lucky I am because 2 years in a row I've been paired with a stranger but I've ended up with a good person 2 years in a row. I dunno what I'll do next year. I may apply for a single or I may not. Who knows.
