Nomi and I just finished our Firefly/Serenity marathon :) 24 hours, 15 episodes, the R. Tam sessions and a movie. My eyes may fall out of my head soon. However I love the entire verse.

Upon rewatching the R. Tam sessions I noticed that at the beginning of the 2nd segment River starts off saying "it's the Pax" and then moved on to a totally other subject but I guess by then she'd met the important government officials who knew about Miranda. Nicely done Joss

I love Joss's entire 'verse. He created something so special there and it's a shame that more people still haven't seen it.

Also I am now fully ready for SFX and am buying a Jayne hat while there :) **insert noise of geeker joy here**

Firefly may go down in history as one of the greatest series nobody watched.

There is a correlation here, for Joss Whedon. Twice now, he's done something that should be impossible in Hollywood: He turned a lousy, failed movie into a successful series (Buffy), and a failed, little watched series into a great and successful (hey, it turned a profit) movie.

Hollywood seriously needs to give the man more, heck at least let him make the other two Firefly movies that he's signed for. Clearly he could do something wonderful when he's given the chance.

It's about power

It's all about power and control. When Whedon has direct creative control he's a genius. Unfortunately, nobody else seems to "get" him, so when he doesn't have control things tend to fall apart -- thus, the Buffy movie, and some late series episodes of Buffy.

Wouldn't that be great, two more Firefly movies? He's going to have to slow down on the rate he's killing off cast members, though, or there'll be nobody left.

lol well I've heard Nathan say he wants his character to die in the last movie (should there be one) so no one else could play him.

No big surprise there; I'd imagine when you help create a character that good, it would bug you to see anyone else playing him.
