Letter writing actually works. I sent off 3 letters to Harbourfront on the weekend. I wasn't sure exactly from the website directory who I should have mailed them to but I made a guess, 0 out of 3 on that one but thus far 2 of my letters have made their way to the correct person's desk and he gave me a call today. No answers yet but he's looking into what went wrong on their end.
Having worked in retail I know that ultimately there's not much that can be done, management protects their employees (as they should) but hopefully this will prompt them to work more on customer service and I'd love to see them at least start telling the public about the deal between Ticketmaster and Harbourfront for their ticket sales. That way people can make an educated decision about how they'd like to buy tickets.
At any rate, I think my letters garnered a little more notice than an email or a phone call would have. Especially a phone call as I was (and still am) very frustrated with them and that emotion does not make for a calm and rational conversation.
