elizalavelleMay I just say (as I'm writing my essay) that the LU library is not my friend. Honestly is sucks! If you go there to look up stuff nothing is organized. I once was looking for a book for History class and the shelf it was supposed to be on (if one went in numerical and alphabetical order) was not there, we went from barcodes ending in CW to barcodes ending in CZ on the next shelf, I needed CX! There was no inbetween shelf. It turned out that that shelf was on a different floor... why oh why would one shelf in a series of barcodes be located on another floor, especially as it's not as if the last few letters of that barcode were somewhere else due to space contraints, CZ was still there! No, moving a letter that's almost at the end of the alphabet makes way more sense than moving one at the actual end!
I'm using the online resources now because I really don't like our library at all and even they are missing things here and there, articles which should be full text aren't. I just find that the librarians themselves are little to no help. Most times when I've gone to ask a question they've been really rude, acting as if it's not their job to assist those in the library. Isn't it the librarians job to help you find information if you're having trouble doing so? Especially it the reason you can't find information is because the library's organization does not always make sense to one who doesn't work there (i.e. stuff not in alphabetical order...wtf?) Oh well at least I'm about half way done this paper... It'll get handed in today, I think that I'll probably try to have about 6 pages of the 8 I need (minimum...) done by the time I go to class this morning and then I'll just have a bit more to do and then editing this afternoon.
Randomly, I'm loving that no one on the floor are really early risers, I've been up and working since 6 and it's still quiet. Perhaps I should look into this early rising thing, it's peaceful.
