Apr. 8th, 2007 10:26 pmWhen you see a Shakespeare quote in a journal, post one in yours
I was just thinking of this passage from Hamlet the other day, how appropriate :)
And therefore as a stranger give it welcome.
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy. But come;
Here, as before, never, so help you mercy,
How strange or odd soe'er I bear myself,
As I perchance hereafter shall think meet
To put an antic disposition on,
That you, at such times seeing me, never shall,
With arms encumber'd thus, or this headshake,
Or by pronouncing of some doubtful phrase,
As 'Well, well, we know,' or 'We could, an if we would,'
Or 'If we list to speak,' or 'There be, an if they might,'
Or such ambiguous giving out, to note
That you know aught of me: this not to do,
So grace and mercy at your most need help you, Swear.

Mar. 29th, 2007 05:48 pmart challenge taken from
browncoat_2x2
The first five people to respond to this post will get some form of art, by me. I make no guarantees about what medium it will be, and it might take some time, but I will assure you that I will give it good effort and that each piece of art will be special.
The only catch: as with most memes, if you sign up, you have to put this in your own journal as well.
**I'll make the same allowance that she did, if you don't want to repost this but you still want something art-y then comment away.
When you comment can you suggest either a fandom or character or even some real life object/place etc that you want your art to revolve around. I think I can promise you'll either get icons, writing, or maybe a fanmix if some songs bounce through my mind :)

Hmm interesting ;)
In other news Halls with vitamin C and echinacea are so my miracle medicine. I was feeling aweful earlier this week and took my two of those per day and am now doing quite well :)
Oh I also watched the Season 3 finale of Farscape, and promptly just about died. How fantastic is this show?! Also, you Farscape fans are even more fantastic because you've all been great at not spoiling me at all so the entire show is brand new to me :)
I really really need to get my hair cut. I'm trying (yet again) to grow it out but it needs a trim sometime soon. Must find time... also must find time to buy my Dad his birthday present... might get to do that today :)

Mar. 19th, 2007 10:48 amI have two music memes that I've nabbed from
raptorkitten for you all today :)
Rules:
1. Have your music library ready.
2. Choose one (1) song from your music library whose title starts with the first letter (or number) of your screen name.
3. Repeat this process with each successive letter (or number) in your screen name until you run out of letters (or numbers).
4. Post up your results.
5. BONUS POINTS: Upload your mix (whether it's individual songs or a .zip of all the the songs) and include the mix in your post.
Elephant Love Song Medly: Moulin Rouge
Little London Night: Sarah Slean
I Want What I Want: Lauren Christy
Zero: The Smashing Pumpkins
Adam's Rib: Melanie Doane
Love Hurts: Cher
Angel: Ghost of the Robot
Victor's Piano Solo: The Corpse Bride
Escape: Rupert Holmes
L.A. Song: Beth Hart
Last Dance With Mary Jane: Tom Petty
Excuse Me Mr.: No Doubt
And I was given the letter L in the other music meme so here are 10 songs I love that start with L (in no particular order).
1. Little Known Facts: You're a Good Man Charlie Brown
2. Laid: James
3. Leaving Paris: Craig Armstrong
4. Little Mary Sunshine: Reefer Madness
5. Like Lovers Do: Heather Nova
6. Legend of a Cowgirl: Imani Coppola
7. Larissa's Lagoon: Idina Menzel
8. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds: The Beatles
9. La Vie Boheme: RENT
10. Last Dance Rodeo: Jewel
I'm not posting this from work (in case anyone was wondering why the heck I'm posting during the day.) I have today off. Originally this was supposed to be the weekend of the Sarah Slean show in Kingston so I'd booked today off as a recovery from having 3 shows in a row plus travelling time. But I still had a busy busy weekend even without a random Ontario road trip thrown in so I'm happy to have a day to just relax.

Culinary: | candy | I still eat way to much candy, I love sweet things, it just can't be helped. |
Literary: | fanfiction | Because I know it's not often high qualitity literature (although some writers out there are freaking amazing!) I still like to read it. Oh and smutty fanfiction, total guilty pleasure but also fun :) |
Audiovisual: | America's Next Top Model | This show has no redeeming value, but I still enjoy the heck out of it. It could have to do with the snarky recaps online (fourfour's and TWoP) which can make anything better. |
Musical: | .. can't think of one really.... I was listening to that Yop commercial on my computer the other day and shaking my head at myself that I actually had that downloaded... | I don't think I listen to any music that really I feel is crap but I like it anyways, I just like a lot of music :) |
Celebrity: | no one really | Again, there are no celebrites who I like who I will not openly admit to enjoying. |
Now I tag:-
