Oct. 18th, 2005 12:21 amOh I am awesome... last night I was getting ready for bed at around 2am. I go to the bathroom and noticed the toilet sounds like the water tank is still running, like when that floater thing isn't floated all of the way to the top... So I figure, I can fix that, no problem. Note to self: at 2am don't attempt anything that can go wrong. I cleared all of my stuff off of the top of the toilet tank and lift the floater and the water in the tank starts seriously running and also bubbling, le shit. So now I'm totally freaking out that water is going to go all over the floor and that the noise (because it was loud) was going to wake up my brother. So I go running downstairs to get some string and then tied the floater thing up to a hook so that it was WAY raised out of the tank but the running noise went back to what it was doing in the first place before I thought I could fix anything.
Now the plumber is coming early tomorrow :S The good news is that I didn't break anything we don't think, it was one of those things that it was going to break anyways, I just sped up the process. Also my dad was very amused by my string solution. I thought way outside of the box there.... especially as I could have just turned off the freaking water supply (things that don't occur to me late at night lol)
Oh and my brother was awake the whole freaking time. He thought I was just taking a shower (this is how loud the freaking toilet was!) but he didn't think to come help when I ran downstairs going "oh shit oh shit oh shit" what in the hell kind of shower is that!?
Oh well, the good news is that nothing overflowed or blew up :) Bad news, the plumber will be here EARLY tomorrow (well later today now lol) so I have to be prepared to be woken up by lots of plumbing noise. Perhaps I'll use the time to make more icons, I made lots tonight and I have lots more to go this week, I started another iconing side project lol.
