I think my fish is dying... :( it's so sad, he's swimming all funny but I can't bring myself to flush him because that would for sure kill him and that's horribly mean. .... however as I typed that Steve gave me some suggestions for how to help him and I've moved his tank to the living room (where it's cooler) and washed everything with boiling water (which hurts the hands) and he's swimming more upwards and less sideways and upside down now... poor poor Squirt, I hope he's okay.

He may be constipated.

I had a fish that did what yours is doing. He had a bloaty belly too though. He couldn't sink, constantly floating on his side near the surface. But then he had a poop a few days later and he was all better! (His name was Swimmer (once again, my creativity is astounding and i drew a picture of him). He was my fav. But then he got constipated again. But he got better. It was off and on.

That really didn't help you at all.....But... I have no clue how to help poor Squirt.

The guy at the pet store that I went to today said it might be his air bladder (what they use to go up and down) sometimes they essentially get a bubble stuck in them and they go all wonky. Hopefully it's that or constipation and it works itself out soon, other than swimming all funny he seems find and he's eating and everything. Strange fishy.
