elizalavelle: (happy holidays VM)

I feel spoiled :)

My major present is the one I knew about which is the Buffy Chosen Collection which is so pretty! I even held off on watching Amends last night (my Christmas Eve tradition) so that I could watch it from my new shiny dvds today :) Oh and my dad wrapped the box all cute. Instead of a bow he made a cross with a little stake and a piece of garlic attached to it! I want to frame it!

My brother's awesome wrapping job was a dime in a little metal tin wrapped in MANY layers of newspaper and then some wrapping paper which symbolizes that he will buy me a new hard drive. He rocks. In retaliation I wrote him a certificate for a sushi dinner and wrapped it around a half full water bottle and then put it into a box and then burried it with styraphome lol so when you shook it it sort of sounded like a snow globe. Next year I plan to use jello as a packing aid... mwahahaha :)

I also got lots of fun Harry Potter candy (no I will never grow up) and an awesome NYC tote bag which will be perfect for weekends of travelling. And a lovely assortment of books, and socks, and chocolate, and bath stuff and a little bit of money which will just help me pay for my bus pass and osap (I over shopped a bit yesterday but it was for presents so it was okay) this month :)

Holidays were not so bad this year. Also for the first year in FOREVER we did not have a Christmas where the presents were mainly from my parents to each other which is cute BUT eventually it gets boring just watching them open up presents from each other. At least put more than one thing into a box you know? lol.

Just dinner to get through and it's regular turkey tonight (which I'm still not eating but I'm also not revolted by it so that's a bonus ;) )

ps my brother got some little gameboy/nintendo thinger (it has a touch screen and is red... that's all I could discern about the thing) so I don't think I'll be seeing him for a few days lol.

Okay, the dad wrapping is too cute. I am not a Buffy fan, but that is too freakin' cute. :)
And I love how sly you and your brother are with wrapping. hehe

Hope you still aren't/weren't revolted by the turkey when you saw it. I am sure it went well.

xoxo

:) My dad always has good wrapping :)

Turkey was not bad because I didn't eat any lol. Actually it's not a meat that usually grosses me out anyway. It was just that Tur-Duck-en that was giving me the wig, however I enjoyed my veggie dinner :)

Good to know that even when you looked at it you didn't run away. lol That's just a lot... there is something wrong with it.

That thing your brother got is the Nintendo DS. My sister has one (along with every other Nintendo thing ever invented because our mom works for Nintendo) and it is cool.

yes that's it lol I finally got to play it last night when his hands got too tired lol and it was enjoyable. And not too over complicated as some of their systems are... I babysat for kids who had I think it was the Game Cube and the controllers were so complicated I had no idea what I was doing lol.

Haha! I enjoy your non-understanding of the Nintendo world. I used to be all hip with in in the days of Sega Genesis but alas - yeah, we have a Game Cube in the basement and I don't know what it does. I tried to play Quidditch on it and ended up catching on fire. Or something.

I HAD to comment though because I LOVE that your family watches each other open presents. We have always gone around in a circle with presents; I know a lot of people think that is weird and mega-tedious but if I've spent hours making you something awesome then I want everyone to see, goddammit. >:( So yeah, good family tradition.

(Otherwise, how would you get props for your neato wrapping jobs?)

aww it's just a part of christmas, you have to watch everyone open their presents. We take turns (youngest to oldest, one present at a time) and that way everyone sees who got what and sees how everyone else likes their presents. Except for my dad who I swear sometimes has ADD, he'd keep wandering off to do something and then come back and we'd all be sitting there waiting... lol

My brother has let me play his Nintendo thing now, and I enjoy it, well I enjoy the mario cart game.... you just race, straight forward... apparently there are all of these moves you can do but I just race and steer lol.
