Job searching is depressing. Thus far I've learned that there are many many jobs in the world that I do not want to do, and still more that I am not technically qualified to do. If I : A. was less picky and B. had any any idea of what I really wanted to do, this would all be much easier.

To make myself feel better I played with photoshop and entered myself in pretty much every icontest I wanted to this week lol. Now it's time to read more of Bleak House.

Also my brother and I have been watching silly amounts of South Park recently (due to Futurama always being the reruns we've seen 5+ times) and damn does that show make me laugh. The one tonight about voting between a giant douche and a turd sandwitch really was how I feel about the current electoral situation some days. Tres amusant.

And yes, I did just talk about reading a Dickens book and then about watching South Park.

May I remind you that I searched in Sudbury for three freaking months to land a retail job! It's worse there lol. I had experience too and still... no job.

I love your icon, I shall blame the O.C. for my joblessness ;)

Yeah. Job searching SUCKS... you are singin' to the chior here. :)

It will get better, eventually. It does suck though when you see all these listings of things you can't do or um would shoot yourself if you had to do it. Yeah.

Which is why I stuck with babysitting. I know I won't shoot myself if I did that for a while until the next show comes around.

You will figure it out.

Playing with fun things always make me happier. :)

*like the icon? ;) *

I do miss babysitting... but I want to find some sort of career path and you at least know the area in which you want to work... I'm still working on that part lol So I'm going to try for some sort of office work first just to see what I like/don't like and then I'll know what to apply for next time.

and yes I do like the icon ;) I'm glad you did too :D

Job searching does suck, which is why I let other people do it for me. I went to an agency (Quantum actually in TO) and they got me this gig within a week. It's mostly for office and temp work though, so it depends on what you want to do.

In the meantime, your icons are great, and if there is voting involved, point me in the right direction.

I have no idea what I want to do, hence the problem. However the majority of options is office work so that's probably where I'll end up. I'm trying first on my own but if I don't get any response I'll try going through an agency...

hmmm there's always voting, I think for most of the contests you have to be a member to vote (helps to cut down on cheating) but if you check out my useinfo all of the communities I participate in semi-regularly are there :)

I feel your pain. I too am looking for a job, but have no clue as to what I want to do. But I think most people don't. Heck even my parents didn't know what they wanted to be until their late twenties. I know it sounds contrite, but it will all work out for the best. Just try not to lose hope. Oh, and there's nothing wrong with going from Dickens to South Park. I did it last semester with Shakespeare. Even if you enjoy the book, SP breaks are a must.
