Yay I just did an early birthday thing with my parents who gave me a fun Edward Gorey card, a little bit of money, and The Da Vinci Code :) much fun :)
Tomorrow I shall feel old, 25 is just one of those big ages to be turning, it's not specifically old in itself but it's a milestone year.
However in thinking about it I'm pretty happy with where I am now. I have a job, a real "grown up" job lol which is so nice to have. I actually can count on a stable pay cheque and hopefully I'll learn quickly enough to do well in the company, and the bottom line of it is that even if I end up really disliking the job by the end of it (so far it's really good) then at least I'll have some different experience to put on my resume that will help me in finding other jobs in the future.
I am tons healthier now than I was. I think part of it was just finally getting out of Sudbury and freeing myself of all of the negatives that I was attached to there. I've lost weight, quit smoking, went veggie... all in the past few months, it feels like I'm getting life back on track. And I've done the fun stuff too in the past year. Run off to NYC, seen concerts, been a happy fangirl, bought my first pieces of real art work, designed a poster.... so much good stuff.
Also I have a fantastic roomie moving in with me in a few months, which means that I'm getting out of my parents house and into my own place again which will be supurb because once you've moved out, moving back in is somewhat stifiling.
So in short I am really happy with where I've been getting in the past year... hopefully year 25 will keep giving me opportunities :)
