Total randomness from the weekend:

There are some calling card ads up in the Yonge/Bloor station which advertise the cities you could call and New York and Sudbury are both in really large print and right next to each other. It squicks me out. One of my most favourite places next to one of my least favourite places.

and in gross news on the way out of the bus station after seeing Nomi onto her bus I was walking through the other bus lineups and thought I saw some guy pouring a coke on the ground while he was in line, which was odd. Then I realized he was vomiting, a LOT, as in could have filled a bucket amount. I felt badly for him because that's a crappy way to feel when you're travelling, but I had sympathy for the poor people in line around this guy.

I am getting very excited for the Serenity screening at the end of the month :)

Starbucks makes Molasses Crinkle cookies (although they call them 'Molasses Ginger') whatever, those are some of my very favourite cookies that I need to learn how to bake. Also I want to get the recipe my grandma used for her chocolate chip cookies but I think that's one that is just to the ages, so I'll have to experiment for that.

Apparently Everclear have a new song called "Hater" out now. Those guys amuse me.

I'm not enjoying the insane amount of realitity tv that's on in the summer season. I'm just going to watch DVDs until next fall lol.

I fully agree with you about the horrifying amount of "reality" tv that's on; that's why I'm kind of glad I don't have a tv in my apartment.

I'd be happy to share my grandma's cookie recipe with you, if you want. It's really very basic, but the cookies are yummy.

(I am sad about no being able to go see Serenity with you. If I happen to win one of those Payday lottery thingies in the next week, though, that will change. *G*)

I haven't used the tv in my room much at all in the past month. I know that we're getting cable in the new place (I have to start looking into what package we want) but until then I really can do without most nights anyways :)

mmmmm cookies yes please :) I wont get a chance to try it out until the fall probably lol but if you email it to me elizalavelle(at)yahoo(dot)ca I'll definitely try them :)

If I win the lotto I shall buy a house :) So far these screenings seem to be working out really well, I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar happen next year :)

*is ashamed* I kinda love two of the reality shows on this summer...they are my total guilty pleasures, so I try not to think about them unless I'm watching them ;D

Eeeeuuuuccchhhhhhh. Seeing someone throw up waiting in line for public transportation would encourage me to walk, I think. Especially if I was going to be riding the same bus as the thrower-upper. I have a very hard time dealing with puke when sober. If I'm drunk, it doesn't phase me(weird, but I think it's because I had to take care of so many drunk, pukey friends in high school.) I puked for the first time in almost 5 years(I was doing so good!) last month when I got the stomach flu. Ewwwwww. And that was probably WAY TMI, so sorry :D

To make up fro the nastiness of this comment, have a Logan!Hipbone! ;D

mmmmmmmmmmm Logan...... :)

It was a 5 hour bus ride... so walking, not so much an option. Although if I were that sick I'd be going to a hotel or something, not getting onto a bus.

hehe and I do love the Top Model shows, even Canada's Next Top Model which is so budget but it still amuses me. There is fun reality tv out there but most of it I tend to avoid lol

EW.

EW EW EW.

SUDBURY BESIDE NYC?! *dies and iz ded* Canadians really have their priorities screwed up. No way is Sudbury even close to being worthy being on the same page as NYC. Gross.

And I hate pukey people on the bus. It just reminds me of that one Sudbury trip where some smelly dude was puking behind me the whole trip. UGH.

lol I was on the same bus, with those two drunk guys from Wawa. That was the trip that I made Matt take the aisle seat so he could protect me :)

and yes Sudbury and NYC should not be mentioned on the same poster, never mind both being the biggest names on there and being right beside each other. Ugh.

So ... I'm going to guess Sudbury's not a nice place? Just a shot in the dark, there.

LOL I went to school there, it's in Northern Ontario and was just a really really bad place to live.

Even if it was paradise, it would be too north for me! Of course, for me no place that gets cold could be paradise, so that's a bad example.

lol I can do a little cold, I am from Canada afterall. But the winters up there were just horrible. I like having a winter in which I can be comfortable going outside. Sudbury didn't have that so much.

I'm not comfortable going outside for 6 months out of the year -- and I'm a southerner, by your standards. The words haven't been invented that can describe just how much I despise winter.

I feel sorry for Mr. Vomit ... that's one of my worse nightmares, having a moment that embarrassing out in public.

I actually like the reality TV craze -- gives me an excuse to get away from the TV. :-)

Yes, being sick in public is never fun. But seeing someone get sick makes me feel sick so sitting next to someone like that on a 5 hour bus ride would have just done me in lol.

This is true, I have many nights now where I don't even turn on the TV, for me that's a rarity lol.

done in

I agree. One of the reasons I'm no longer active in EMS is that I could just never get used to the upchucking -- it was the smell that got me.
