elizalavelle: (Mal/Inara spin me about)

Hmmm I have been in a huge Mal/Inara mood as of late and am highly tempted to get a ticket to SFX.... anyone going to this who wants company, or does anyone want to go?

In other news it's still grossly hot and since it's been so for a few days now it's begun to make me have more trouble sleeping and I woke up about 4 times last night going between being too hot, and then cold when the fan was directly on me, and then hot again. As a result I am sleepy and I think I'm going to have a lot of work to get through being that it was a long weekend so there was an extra day for stuff to pile up.

I seriously need to get packing. I'm going to try do do fall/winter clothes this week and just move them over because meh, I wont need them for a while and I need to move some stuff out of the way. I don't want to move anything valuable since I'm not actually living in the apartment for a little while longer, I just want to move small stuff that I can keep out of sight in the apartment but that I won't be needing here for the next month. Oh and my parents just bought a new car which, lucky for me, has a lot of storage space so I'll be able to move some stuff easily in there :)

Pirates of the Caribbean 2 is out this week! I'm seeing it on Saturday :D

Which day is Morena? (Saturday I'm guessing lol) that way I can just buy a ticket for that day instead of the whole nine yards. Are you going Friday night as well? (I've so not researched this yet lol)

If you need a place to crash in TO friday/saturday night I can offer up a couch in my apartment which I shall be all moved into by then :)

*yay* and thanks :)

There doesn't seem to be a schedule yet... I'll weep bitter tears if she's only there Sunday...

I've bought the deluxe pass ($39) which gets you in the for the whole weekend, and I think an early friday admission from 2-4 or something... a day pass is $20 so if you plan to do more than one day, you'd be best off getting the deluxe pass, as the day pass doesn't include special ticket events, though I've no idea if that will much matter anyway.... autographs will likely cost extra...

Here's a link to the SFX page for info... it's still pretty not there... but ticket prices are up and such..

Crashing might be a brilliant idea! Fun!

The three day pass does look to be the best. So I'll go with that and try to score Friday afternoon off from work to make the most use of that :)

I'm off to go order that one of those then :)

And yeah if you're in TO on Friday then it's probably easier to just stay here than to go back home (Oshawa?) and then come back to the city for Saturday morning. I won't be living super close to downtown by then but it wont be hard to get there via ttc :)

yeah, I'm in Oshawa, so staying in the city would be much easier... who knows, there might be some cool room party going on or something we could hit too... Guess we'll find out!

I'm sure a bunch from the Canadian Browncoats list will be going, so there'll likely be lots of people to hang out with, many with Con experience who can guide us around *G*

What area is your appartment going to be in???

I will be living in Etobicoke, so in the West end. I'm take a bus up to the Bloor st subway and then head accross and down for the convention centre.

I'll get to meet more Browncoats :) *yay*

I'm working in Etobicoke right now too, out around Islington Station, if your work is anywhere near to that I could meet you for lunch but I only get an hour as well so I can't go too far away and still make it back on time :S

Hrmmm.. I work at Bayview and Eglinton, not at all west end... so... hmmm maybe there'll be a shindig or something between now and then that we can both hit? Otherwise, we'll have to wear nametags!!! *G*

Sounds good to me. If you're taking that Friday off from work we could do lunch or something then before they open up :)

Oh and I sort of know my way around the convention center (I worked the autoshow last Feb.) so hopefully I wont get us lost inside ;)

Sounds like a plan!

And that's good to know, cuz I've never been there, so, a guide is not a bad thing!!

done and done :)

If you're in TO anytime before then and want to grab a coffee or something just so you know who I am send me an email at elizalavelle(at)yahoo(dot)ca and let me know. Most of my weekends are free-ish excluding next Saturday when I will be seeing Pirates of the Caribbean and the Saturday after that when I will be painting my apartment :)

I'm in TO everyday at work, but I leave for home at 3pm... I have an hour lunch break from 11:30 to 12:30 though, if that's ever convenient...

Weekends are booked for me from now till... well, I don't think there's an end in sight *G* Summer is a busy time...

rule one of moving: Never move anything more than once. Sounds like you've got it under control!

The weather's been unusually cool overall, here in Indiana. Oddly, we've been getting a lot of storms but we're still short on total rainfall. Strange weather.

We've had tons of rain here so far. Last week it was like living through monsoon season, every afternoon we had about an hour of pouring rain and thunderstorms... and then the sun would come out. Odd.

That's the way yesterday and this morning were -- it was actually raining *while* the sun was shining.
The sun's bright and shiny right now, but I'm going to pull the curtains and try to get some sleep -- gotta work tonight, and the fireworks fools are already out in force.

Oh fireworks, we had some idiots the other night lighting them in the park behind my house. Which is sometimes fun and pretty. This time they just had loud ones and they were all drunk and holding them in their hands as they went off. No injuries (lucky them) but it was highly annoying.

So many final moments begin with, "Hey, who wants a beer?" followed by "Hey, watch this!"

I move out on the first weekend of August :) Much fun :)

I have my ticket for Pirates on Saturday night. I debated friday but I'm so tired after work most days that I didn't want to go and feel cranky during the movie :)

Just so you know, when I read SFX, my brain went right to this sound board system that is used in theatre... it was not cool! LOL What is it anyway?

I hate the heat. I woke up at like 2AM sweating like a bitch, and pissy because it woke me up. That totally sucks, when you wake up because you are hot, then cold, then hot, then cold. It's like AHHHH!!!! Stupid heat! lol

Moving some stuff is a smart idea, and it will make it easier for you in the long run. :) oooo new car! fancy!

xoxo

lol SFX is a science fiction convention thingie that also runs at the same time as a horror, anime and comic one I believe. There are a couple of people from different Joss Whedon shows who are going to be there and figure that I'll give it a shot and see how it is :)

I am the same way with the heat, I wake up all sweaty and gross and then move into the direct path of my fan, and then wake up 30 minutes later because I am freezing... and then repeat that pattern :S
