So before I get into a spoiler-y TV rant let's say a sarcastic 'thank you' to CTV for fucking up the Grey's Anatomy premiere and airing the second episode instead.... followed by the preview for the second episode. Seriously when they ran the "previously on Greys Anatomy..." I was SO confused because I couldn't remember any of the stuff they showed happening in the finale! So yeah, they premiered their big hit show all wrong on the first night that it's been moved to a new night. That's karma for fucking with so many other shows. ABC is going to freak out over this one. Hell that's part of the reason I think that the New VR lost the rights to air Buffy early (Grad. Day pt. 2 issues) so way to go CTV and fuck up right when you had a good thing going.
So because of CTV monumentally fucking up their premiere night I flipped between CSI and the Grey's premiere on ABC and think I got the basic idea from both of them. Grey's made me cry pretty much every time I flipped over to it. Oy that show is like crack. Sometimes it's so soap opera but I just can't stop watching.
Dr. Bailey and Christina both just kill me. Seriously kill me! I love them!
Izzy talking about how she didn't know how to "be that person" just applies to everyone so much of the time, how do you be who you suddenly find yourself being. Wondful dialogue and just perfectly delivered.
George and McDreamy locked up together and ransacking lockers was amusing :)
The flashbacks were great to see, I just liked having the backstory shown a little bit more. .... and I can't say much more about this ep without getting into what happens next but I'll just leave it at I love the show and hopefully CTV can figure out what the hell they're doing next week.
C.S.I. (hey at least they didn't air part two first of this one ;) ) was pretty cool. The Cirque du Soleil was amazing to see, I've never seen them live so that was neat.
I like that they're keeping Sam Braun around for trouble.
While the ending with Catherine made me wonder if we aren't going to get another "all about Catherine" season, it was some fine acting from her and she usually doesn't pull that off so kudos to her.
Of course she looks oddly tanned and botoxed even more so she's a little disturbing looking.
I want me some more Sara and Grissom now please. Seriously, light up table sex, that's all I'm asking for, what's so hard about that?
And you made your first ep TBC... ugh... although it should play well in ratings next week since they'll be ultimately going against a rerun of Grey's if someone gets that up on Torrents tonight.

Date: 2006-09-23 04:27 am (UTC)Apparently I'd make a poor exec, because I sure wouldn't make any of the same decisions they did. For starters, Buffy and Angel would have stayed on the same network, and the beginning of Firefly would have started with -- wait for it -- the beginning.

Date: 2006-09-23 11:22 am (UTC)Ugh networks drive me crazy, I can't figure out what demographic they're paying attention to when they make these decisions but it seems like it's the wrong one, especially Fox, they just continually have new shows, and then within 2 years they kill them. If they actually invested and believed in a show like they did the Xfiles way back when then they'd have a shot of becoming one of the top 3 networks again since they do start a lot of decent shows.
not so Foxy anymore

Date: 2006-09-22 02:22 pm (UTC)It was a great episode... I enjoyed the flashbacks as well, it added something really cool, like this whole other element to it.
And now I am jealous of you because you have seen the next episode! d'oh!

So the big stuff. Meredith frets and frets about who to chose (McDreamy/Chris O'Donnell) and after all day of deciding one way and then the other she ends by deciding she's going to date both of them and see how that goes.
Dr. Bailey keeps yelling at Alex all episode and then he has it out with her saying she's really actually mad at Izzy. Bailey goes to visit Izzy (who spent most of the episode baking muffins, lots and lots of muffins)and tells her that she went soft after having her baby and she didn't see the thing with Denny coming and so she's partly to blame for what happened.
Oh and Addison and Derek are FINALLY totally broken up. She takes a day off to get shmammered and at the end he goes to her hotel room to apologize and sees a very McSteamy getting out of the shower! So she's doing okay then ;)
Oh and Christina meets Dr. Burke's parents. His mother hates her but his father seems to approve :)
Consider yourself throughly spoiled :)
