Small collection of TV thoughts from last night. Spoilers for Chuck and Heroes.
Chuck
...Chuck made me all teary tonight. I dunno, I apparently am super hormonal or something today because the last 10 minutes just did it. As soon as Sarah said they were going nowhere I knew there was a catch but damn, makes me sad. I also loved the last song they played. Must find out who it was by...
Umm other random thoughts: I was highly amused by the Britney Spears Toxic montage ;) Well played music director, well played.
I loved the comedy that they used when they all had been poisoned. It wasn't subtle by any means but they kept it from getting too silly which I think was a fine line to walk.
I'm going to miss Harry Tang though! Maybe he'll move back. Who else is going to call Morgan pudding... literally?
I also think that random Buy More guy who did the video taping is going to sort of take Tang's spot in the Buy More nemesis role since for the last two weeks running he's been a little shady.
Rachel Bilson was really cute in her role as Lue. As much as I adore Chuck and Sarah I'm okay with a hook up in between. Especially as we'll now get to see Sarah be jealous and fight to actually date Chuck for real :)
Heroes
I liked KBell's character more this week. Firstly KBell is actually acting again which is darn good. I kept thinking to myself that she was playing someone who was supposed to be much younger thank KBell looked. But when we got some of Elles backstory (presuming she was more or less telling the truth) it made a lot more sense and KBell was nailing it. She still bugs me based on what I've read in the KB:PTTHS but she at least acting again which is good because she can be a pretty good actress when she actually wants to put in the effort.
I really liked in this episode that we got to go back and see what had been happening all along. I'm not overwhelmingly sucked into the storyline in South America yet but I'm getting there. The backstory helped.
Nikki is a great character. I'm curious to see how the company is going to use her. I'm sure they're working on trying to use one of the other personalities but it'll be really interesting to see how that works.
Overall I liked this episode a lot more than I've been liking the past few episodes. I missed much of first season and need to get that on DVD and just give 'er but I'm liking where the second season is going now :)

Date: 2007-11-13 06:57 pm (UTC)I'm interested to see her doing the costume thing as well. It's been neat to see that no one's really done that yet so it's not a steriotypical hero show but I think they have a good choice of a character who's going to "suit up" and go for the whole vigilante hero angle. All in all I like it :)

Date: 2007-11-13 06:29 pm (UTC)i loved the "Toxic" scene too...especially when they're at the elevator and Chuck looks at Sarah and said "......god you're so pretty!!!"
mwhahaha
I'm ok with Lou too....even though I knew when Chuck asked Sarah how she really felt she was lying...but I felt bad when Casey called and he asked if she said anything to compromise her self and she admitted she would have if she didn't know how to withstand the poison.... :(

Date: 2007-11-13 07:00 pm (UTC)Hee Chuck and Sarah were very cute and I loved when he said she was so pretty and then tried to cover it by saying something nice to Casey as well and got the "your jaw looks like it was carved by Michaelangelo himself" comment fabulous!
While it was sad that Sarah couldn't come right out and just say "hi I like you too" it makes sense for a tv show. That can be held back for later sweeps months.... or if the strike goes really long... for fun summer months ;)
