elizalavelle: (BtVS - WML1 gotta get inside)
I keep trying to remind myself that if I wake up within about an hour of my alarm I should just get up. But no, everytime I wake up early I always think it's a fine idea to go back to bed for the last 45 minutes of the night. Bad bad bad plan. My mind is already stressed out about a few things that I refuse to let myself feel stressed out about when there's nothing I can do about them... but if I'm sleeping lightly I will totally give myself nightmares. Not the best way to start off the day. Where my mind comes up with some of this stuff I do not know.

However the day itself has gone fairly well and pehaps I'll have some luck with getting a copy of the BtVS comic this evening. If not at least I get to see Dell and wander downtown a bit. I love the downtown core of this city and I'm not there as much as I'd like to be.

And drat, it's started to rain and I didn't bring my umbrella today. Oh well it's a sign of Spring on the way :)

Blockbuster is having a buy 2 get 1 free sale now. Clearly I need to avoid DVD sales LOL. I found 4 movies I really wanted... which meant I ended up with 6 :)

Stick It
The Meaning of Words
Art School Confidential
Dust Factory
The Weatherman
Prize Winner

And last night I was in a silly mood so I went with 'Stick It.' Which is by the same creators as 'Bring It On' and I figured it would essentially be 'Bring It On' but with gymnastics. To a large degree it was BUT it centers more around a "Missy" type of character than what's her face that Kristin Dunst played. *yay* Also there were some neat twists along the way, the movie wasn't entirely predictable, it was just mostly fun. I so am going to watch that one again :)

I did see they had one of the Farscape Season 3 DVDs but it was in a blank box and I want the pretty box set. I'm shallow that way when I'm working on buying a whole series, I like them to match :)

This morning I woke up just fine with my alarm, switched it off and contemplated resetting it for later so I could sleep in... and fell asleep before I could finish that thought. Oops. I was lucky and woke up 30 minutes later which was pretty much when I'd have set the alarm for so I wasn't too far behind this morning, just a little more rushed than usual.

The weekend is almost over *sigh* but it went well. Today I slept in a surprising amount (after I woke up early and posted on LJ I went back to sleep until 1, fabulous!) my roommate was actually getting a little worried about me LOL. We did get grocery shopping done, I watched a little Farscape (not as much as planned due to sleeping.) Then we had dinner and watched Cold Case which was an amazing episode tonight and so sad. Very well done. Also Grease: You're The One That I Want because it's so camp! I love it! Now it's almost time for bed for me. I'm looking forward to another good sleep :)

Oh randomly, Win A Date With Tad Hamilton was on tv today, so cute! I caught the end of it even though I own it and that movie was so underrated. I think it's adorable! The Little Mermaid was on TV as well, and Nomi and I saw the end of it as well and then they ran a classic Disney cartoon afterwards (The Taylor and the Giant) which was fun! I didn't realize they still ran the classics like that. I'll have to tune in to the end of things more often ;)

Well this has been an entirely enjoyable day off :) I went to see Guster in concert last night (AWESOME! thank you Viv for inviting me along to that one!!!!!!!) and so not knowing how late we'd be I booked today off from work, which allowed us to go out for pizza after the show :) Much goodness.

Today I got to sleep in which is always great. I then read one of the nicest emails which was completely unexpected and just made me grin all day.

Actually last night Viv and I were just talking about how much more at peace with most people we've become. I've only really had two people who ever managed to hurt me deeply and over the past year I've let the hurt they caused go almost completely. The email I got this morning somewhat related to one of them and really was a sign that all the damage that was attempted at the time has been repaired. So it was a very good email to wake up to indeed.

In celebration I baked croissants (from the Pilsbury tube, I'm not that much of a chef lol) and watched Fraggle Rock with my roommate (it's on every day at noon on BBC Kids!) and then settled in for some Farscape watching. I've now watched the last 4 episodes of season 2, still am in love with this show!

And during the day I managed to run a few errands and pay bills. Not so fun but necessary and good to do when I'm not feeling rushed.

Tonight is Veronica Mars, I'm not overly excited about it anymore but I'm curious to see if they can pull of a good end to the current mystery arc and I think I shall curl up with some italian wedding soup and watch it :)

Oh and beware friendslist I went through my parents old photoalbums and scanned pics of myself when I was younger so you'll get some random picture spams soon :)
